Aeroflow Subaru EJ Sandwich & Oil Thermostat AdapterM20 Filter Thread With 2 x -10 ORB ports, 1/8" NPT Port
Perfect for use with Aeroflow oil coolers, this billet aluminium sandwich and thermostat combines the engine oil filter and oil thermostat in one convenient unit. This is great for those wanting to remove extra lines and fittings required to run the thermostat in a separate location.
The built-in thermostat is similar to the AF64-4111 which helps maintain engine oil temperature by holding the oil until it reaches operating temperature at (82 °C) 180 °F when the thermostat is fully open to allow full flow to the oil cooler. It will self-adjust flow according to the oil temperature to maintain a constant operating oil temperature just like a coolant thermostat would operate.
The main body is made from billet 6061 aluminium, then anodised black for great looks and corrosion resistance. It has been designed specificality for the Subaru EJ engine to maneuver around the timing cover. It allows the oil cooler lines to come out in the front of the engine around the timing belt covers on the front of the engine. This unit removes the factory oil cooler from the engine.
This features inlet and outlet -10 ORB ports provided for plumbing the engine oil to and from the oil cooler. One 1/8" NPT port and plug are provided for an auxiliary sensor. The filter head attached has a M20 x 1.5mm filter thread insert supplied with kit.
